We went to the fish market for tea the other night - you choose your fresh fish, squid, shrimp or even lobster (small and blue, not red like the WA 'rock lobster' aka crayfish) from one of the row of fishmongers, and tell them which restaurant you want it delivered to. They scale and fillet it, deliver it, the restaurant barbeques it over coals and serves it up with chips and salad. Yet another reason to always take the camera with us wherever we go - the piles of fish are remarkably attractive, gleaming shade of silver and blue and red.
We also encountered a Libyan funeral; as we went past a cemetery, we found the cars parked three deep until they finally completely blocked the road (a pretty main thoroughfare). Detouring down a side street, we drove into the midst of a giant mass of Libyan men, carrying a painted wooden coffin through the city streets and chanting.

Seafood - jealous. Funeral - interesting the different traditions. I often think our funerals are too sanitised.
