gold souk

Very quick entry this week, as I'm off on a desert tour, should be some very interesting photos to post when I get back.

Continuing the medina theme, this is a photo of the front window of one of the very very many gold stores in the gold souk. I believe this are generally catering the wedding jewellery requirement, and may or may not be Berber gold being sold off by the tribes.

This is close-up of two of the more elaborate necklaces.

I'm not much for gold myself so haven't bought it, but apparently it is very well-priced and is sold by weight.
